WHAT IS CLOUDFARMS
A pig management system built for serious producers
Cloudfarms is a cloud-based pig production management system developed for commercial pig operations of any size — from single-site farms to large multi-site enterprises. It was purpose-built to replace the combination of manual data entry, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems that most pig farms still rely on.
The system runs entirely in the cloud, which means there's no server hardware to maintain, no software to install on office computers, and no data that lives only on a single device. Your production data is accessible on any internet-capable device — from the farm manager's office to the barn floor — at any time.
Cloudfarms operates on a modular basis. The core module covers the full sow cycle and finisher management. Additional modules can be added depending on the specific needs of your operation — whether that's a boar station, multi-site management, breeding and nucleus programs, or advanced dashboards and benchmarking.
WHO IT'S SUITED FOR
Commercial sow farms (any size)
Multi-site pork production groups
Breeding, multiplication and nucleus farms
Boar studs and AI centres
Finisher operations (flow or batch based)
WHY AGRI INSIGHT RECOMMENDS IT
Of the systems we've evaluated for South African pig producers, Cloudfarms is the one we've found best bridges the gap between barn-level data capture and management-level decision making — without requiring a dedicated IT team to run it.
"This is exactly the type of reports we are looking for and I am sure that in a short time we will be able to create and display various valuable dashboards. I made a quick Dashboard and think we are on the right track, once we understand everything the opportunities are endless. I am very excited." - Cloudfarms customer
SYSTEM MODULES
Built in modules. Choose what you need.
Cloudfarms is modular by design. Every operation starts with the core module. Additional modules are added based on your specific production setup.
CORE -INCLUDED
Full sow cycle and finisher management
Semen collection, serving, pregnancy checks, farrowing, fostering, weaning, relocation, buying, selling, dead registrations, abortions, feed consumption, weaner and finisher management. Includes full medicine module, breeding functionality, and all standard reports.
ADD-ON
Breeding and nucleus
Order tracking and planning for the sale of breeding animals. Overview of available animals by breed, age, sex, and delivery week. Designed for breeding, multiplication and nucleus farms.
ADD-ON
Multi-site management
Manage multiple production sites from a single system. Consolidated reporting across locations with site-level granularity. Essential for any operation running more than one farm.
ADD-ON
Dashboard and benchmarking
User-defined KPI charts displayed on any screen. Compare performance across sites within a holding, or benchmark against external farms (with permission). Designed for management-level oversight.
ADD-ON
Boar station
Manage boars and semen tappings used across sites. Calculate semen portions and diluent based on quality and mortality %. QR-coded semen labels readable at insemination. Sow performance data fed back to the boar station for selection optimisation.
ADD-ON
Issue management
Track farm maintenance and health issues from mobile. Assign tasks, add photos, set priorities and deadlines. Integrated with the medicine module — photograph a sow during treatment and create a vet-accessible issue automatically.
IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
How Agri insight gets you live on Cloudfarms
Agri Insight manages the full implementation process. We handle the system configuration, map it to your operation's structure, and train your team — so you go live with confidence, not guesswork.
01
DISCOVERY
Operation audit
We map your current data flows, production structure, and reporting needs. This determines which modules you need and how the system should be configured for your specific setup.
WEEK 1
02
SETUP
System configuration
Your farm structure — sites, buildings, animal groups — is built into Cloudfarms. We configure your modules, set up user accounts, and ensure the system mirrors your actual production logic before anyone touches it.
WEEK 1-2
03
ONBOARDING
Team training
Farm staff, managers, and admin are trained using your farm's own data. The mobile app is set up on barn devices. We don't move on until your team is confident — not just familiar.
WEEK 2-3
04
LIVE
Go live and measure
System goes live with Agrinsight support in place. We track your baseline KPIs from day one and establish a 90-day review to measure improvement against your pre-Cloudfarms performance.
WEEK 4
Ongoing support: After go-live, Agri Insight remains your primary point of contact for Cloudfarms in South Africa. We provide technical support, help interpret your production data, and assist with system expansion as your operation grows.
AGRI INSIGHT'S ROLE
More than a reseller — your implementation partner
Agri Insight doesn't just sell you access to Cloudfarms. As Industrial Engineers who work specifically with pig producers, we configure, implement, and support the system as part of our broader operational improvement process — so it integrates with how your farm actually works, not against it.
Local expertise
We understand South African pig production conditions, input costs, and the specific challenges that affect local operations.
System-level thinking
We don't configure Cloudfarms in isolation. It's part of an engineered operational system — connected to your reporting, your workflows, and your decision-making process.
Ongoing interpretation
Data is only useful if someone helps you read it. We translate your Cloudfarms output into operational recommendations — not just reports.
Single point of contact
For South African clients, Agri Insight handles all Cloudfarms queries, support, and billing. You don't deal with an overseas software company directly.
Transparent, sow-based pricing
Agri Insight prices Cloudfarms based on your sow count — not per user, not per module. Choose the option that suits your operation: full setup included, license only, or monthly payments. All prices exclude VAT.
